We know from our own experience how hard it can be to care for a person living at home. Our services therefore provide opportunities to share experiences with other carers, get practical information and find out you are not alone.

Our Carers Newsletter for July 2025 is now out. This month we have an update on the Scotmid Member Choice Award, for which we have been shortlisted, and information about complimentary tickets for a selection of Fringe shows at the Edinburgh Festival in August.
Our Carers Newsletter for June 2025 has now been published, featuring an evening of music at the Usher Hall and updated details of our August WanderWomen overnight retreat. Meanwhile, our Carers Week Open Day is on Wednesday 11th June; see the flyer below for information.
The Summer 2025 edition of our Still Caring events programme has now been published, covering the period June–August 2025, together with the latest Carers Newsletter and an announcement of upcoming WanderWomen retreats. (UPDATE: note that the August retreat will now take place on the 23rd rather than the 16th.)
There are theatre trips transporting us from 1950’s America (Grease) to the furthest reaches of the universe (The Night Sky Show), boat trips to the islands of the Firth of Forth, and our usual mix of courses and day events closer to home.
Our Carers Newsletter for April 2025 has now been published, with information on community food pantries, carer support payments and more. We also highlight our regular weekly and monthly events, which include gentle yoga, creative writing and relaxation sessions.
The Spring 2025 edition of our Still Caring events programme has now been published, covering the period March–May 2025, together with the latest Carers Newsletter. There are workshops for everything from meditation to jewellery, spray painting to tapestry weaving — plus trips further afield to explore nature, admire architecture, investigate science, and even find out the secrets of our sun!
The latest Carer Walks programme is now available, with walking events taking place every month between now and November. As usual, we will be exploring the nooks and crannies of our city centre, but we also head further afield to experience the wonder of the Falkirk Wheel, the beauty of Aberdour, the tranquility of the gardens of Dawyck — and more.
The 2025 edition of our Stepping Out programme has been released alongside our Carers Newsletter for January. The new programme covers the period March–November 2025 and features exciting extended breaks near and far, including numerous island breaks to Rum, Coll, Arran and Lismore. Each break has a different focus, but all have a background of exploration, relaxation and socialising. We conclude this year’s programme with a trip to the Enchanted Forest in Pitlochry.
