Below we provide some brief background information about our supporters.

RAS200

This partnership between Care for Carers and The Royal Astronomical Society has supported Dark Sky remote rural short residential breaks for carers through our Stepping Out® programme. Carers have had the opportunity to learn about astronomy and geophysics with fellows of the RAS and partners Cosmos Planetarium. Programme media related to this project can be found here.

Edinburgh Health & Social Care Partnership

EHSCP funding enables us to provide core Carer Support Team services, supporting carers one-to-one as needed — as well as undertaking Adult Carer Support Plans and Carer Emergency Plans. EHSCP core fund our Stepping Out® Short Residential Breaks for Carers programmes. These residential breaks are typically 1–4 nights duration and take place across Scotland in a range of venues and with a variety of activities on offer. Stepping Out® is a group based service and a number of breaks are supported by trust funds and charitable donations so that we can take more carers away together.

Short Breaks

Funding through Shared Care Scotland Creative Breaks fund and Foundation Scotland has supported the costs of remote rural residential breaks delivered via the Stepping Out® programme, taking place in island locations around Scotland.
