Care for Carers produces regular Carers Newsletters throughout the year, with the number produced dependent on the information needs of carers but never fewer than six newsletters each year. Our newsletters contain our latest service information, but also include links and updates from services across the city.
Care for Carers has a portfolio of rolling programmes which provide carers with opportunities to take part in activities, trips, courses, and various forms of entertainment and educational events. Event schedules are announced throughout the year; the latest programme leaflets and booklets are mailed out to members, and published on this website along with updates to our online calendar.
Care for Carers services are open to all members of the public who look after a friend, relative, spouse loved one or partner as an unpaid carer. All adult carers (over 16) are welcome to join our organisation by going on our membership or mailing list at any time. The caring situation could be anything from caring for a child with a disability to caring for frail elderly parents and anything in between.

We regularly work in partnership to deliver new programmes. One example of this is our partnership with the Royal Astronomical Society, which began in 2015 as part of their RAS200 (200 year anniversary celebration). The media below gives a flavour of the materials we have put together to capture the experiences that carers have on breaks such as these.
